No. 699

This letter was sent to R. Baruch Paris, one of the members of the Lubavitch community in Eretz Yisrael.
B"H, 27 Menachem Av, 5710

Greetings and blessings,

I gratefully received your letters of 10 and 19 Tammuz, together with your enclosure of a copy of a letter by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, from the first of Marcheshvan, 5699, and also the list of the maamarim of Chassidus that you possess.

Thanking you for the past and making a request for the future: If you possess other letters of substance, send them here to be copied, for certainly, this will be of benefit to people at large and their merit will be dependent on you.

In the list of maamarim which you sent, I do not have the following:

Certainly, you have [established] fixed times for the study of the teachings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, in addition to your other study sessions.

As per your request, I mentioned you at the gravesite of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m. A tzaddik grants blessing and G-d fulfills those blessings in a full sense.

Signing with blessing for you and your entire household,

Menachem Schneerson

[With regard to] what you wrote concerning the Ofanim and the Seraphim and their source in the realm of Tohu as mentioned in the letter cited above, see the maamar entitled Mi Chamocha from Acharon Shel Pesach, 5688. There the concept is explained more.
