Greetings and blessings,

Your letter of 4 Menachem Av with the enclosed pan was just received. In the interim, my letter of erev Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av certainly reached you.

With regard to the well-being of your son: I am amazed at the members of the chassidic brotherhood who are severe in their interpretation of the events that happen to them[676] even though they know the adage [repeated by] my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, in the name of several of the Chabad Rebbeim:[677] "Think positively and the outcome will be good."

I just now read your pan in the room of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m. My revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, will certainly bless [the individuals mentioned] and his blessings will be fulfilled in a complete manner.
