Greetings and blessings,

We are still shattered after the passing of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, and it is therefore still difficult to write. Nevertheless, having in mind the Rebbe's will and directives with which you are undoubtedly familiar, and since the matter involves doing a favor for a Jew, we need not be concerned with any impediments. Hence, I am writing the lines that follow to you....[213]

As I said, it is difficult for me to elaborate. Nevertheless, because of the impression you made on me after we met personally, I am certain that it is not necessary to elaborate. This is particularly true because it concerns a matter that relates to ahavas Yisrael, the love for a fellow Jew, which was one of the primary objectives of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m. It is well known how following in a tzaddik's path generates satisfaction for him [in the spiritual realms].

With greetings and with blessings for all forms of everlasting good,

M. Schneerson
Chairman of the Executive Committee
