Giving maamadTable of contentsAn explanation concerning several mystic concepts in Chassidus

No. 313

This letter appears to have been addressed to Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, one of the leading Lubavitch Rabbis in London.
B"H, 20 Kislev, 5708

Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter (which was undated): According to your request, I ordered that a special package of all our recent publications be sent to you. Since we did not know at what point you [ceased] receiving our printed materials in an orderly fashion, [please] look at the list of our publications at the end of Sefer HaKitzurim [of Shaarei Orah] and advise us whether to send you other [texts] and [if yes,] how many copies of each one.

I would like to use this opportunity to spur [you] again and again with regard to the great importance of organizing the distribution of our publications (both in Chassidus[241] and in English. The latter is even more urgent, because it provides an opportunity and a hope that they will supersede the English language publications that run contrary to the Torah and Jewish tradition.) See the maamar of Yud-Tes Kislev of this year[242] which emphasizes that any approach is beneficial if it leads to avoiding evil. This is sufficient for a person of understanding. I am certain that for a person such as yourself, there is no need for elaboration with regard to this concept, and so I will limit my remarks.

With regard to what you wrote concerning the three kelipos and how they differ from each other, I will copy what I wrote to another person concerning this matter. In passing, it also explains a matter in Tanya which seemingly requires explanation.[243]

With the blessing "Immediately to teshuvah, immediately to Redemption,"

Enclosed is a publication that was brought from the printer just yesterday. Also enclosed is a letter from the committee for the Torah scroll [to greet Mashiach].

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
Chairman of the Executive Committee
