No. 130

The following letter was sent to R. Chayim Yosef Rosenbloom, a distinguished elder chassid, who - as the letter implies - was involved in sending packages to the Rebbe's parents in Russia.
B"H, 9 Shvat, 5704
Greetings and blessings,

From time to time, I receive word of your situation and that of your family from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita. Nevertheless, it appears that you write sparsely. [In any event,] what is most important that only goodness and kindness be visited upon you in all matters.[1]

Approximately a year ago, I sent $150 to you. (This was included in the $500 sent by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, as explained in the telegram [sent at that time].) In that telegram, we asked about sending packages to my parents shlita. I later wrote to you again concerning this matter asking if you received any information from them: whether they received the packages and what is happening concerning them. As of yet, I have not received an answer from you - although from your letter to my mother-in-law, it appears that you did send the packages.

With double and triple requests, I ask that you notify me - even in brief about the packages, and most importantly, whether there is any information concerning their circumstances.

I am awaiting an answer from you in any event as soon as possible.

Thanking you in advance, and with the blessing, "Immediately to teshuvah, immediately to Redemption,"

Regards to the members of your household.
